Questions

Questions and answers

What do I need to start?
An account and the patient's upper and lower intraoral scans as STL, PLY or OBJ files, exported together in the bite position. See Preparing the scans.
Who can create an account?
Licensed dental professionals, and people who order on behalf of one, such as a dental lab working for a dentist.
Who plans the treatment?
AlignerBot, GuideMia's automated planning system, running OrthoPlus on GuideMia's design workstations. You can order human design instead, and the GuideMia Design lab plans the dental case.
How do I know when the plan is ready?
You get an email, and the dental case page opens on the review step. You can close the page while AlignerBot works.
Can I change the plan?
Send it back with a note saying what should change. AlignerBot plans the dental case again and returns a new plan to review. Each time is a plan round.
How do I pay?
Top up your account balance by card through Stripe, any amount from $20. Each round is paid from the balance when you order it, and your account page lists every top-up and charge. Prices
What if an AlignerBot run fails?
GuideMia staff see every failed run. A round you paid for is run again at no charge, or GuideMia contacts you.
What do I receive?
The aligner models or arch models you chose on the case form, to download from the dental case page after the design is produced.
Who makes the aligners?
The lab of your choice. Take the design files to the lab you work with, or find one in the lab directory and contact it directly.
What patient information do you need?
A patient reference you choose, the prescribing dentist's name, the case questions and the two scans. Use your own reference, not the patient's name. The privacy policy explains how the files are stored.
Who runs ClearAligner.AI?
GuideMia Technologies, the maker of the OrthoPlus orthodontic planning software and the GuideMia dental implant planning software.
