Privacy policy

ClearAligner.AI (clearaligner.ai) is operated by GuideMia. This policy describes the information the service handles when dental professionals create accounts, submit cases and use the lab directory, and how it is used.
Information we collect
- Account: your name, email address and password, or your Google identity if you sign in with Google; the dental-professional confirmation you give at sign-up.
- Cases: the patient reference you choose (the form asks for your own reference, not the patient's name), the prescribing dentist's name and optional licence number, your answers to the case questions, treatment options and notes, the upper and lower arch scans, the check report your browser produces for each scan, and the treatment plans and design files produced for the case.
- Payments: your account balance and a record of each top-up (amount, date, Stripe session) and each round paid from it. Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and are not stored by ClearAligner.AI.
- Lab directory: the details a lab enters in its listing. Once approved, those details, including the contact information the lab chooses to list, are public.
How it is used
- To create the treatment plan and the appliance design you order.
- To let you review plans, approve designs and download files, and to send you notices when a plan or design is ready.
- To take top-ups, charge each round to your balance and keep the records the law requires.
- To publish approved lab listings and review new or changed ones.
- To keep the service secure and to answer your support requests.
We do not sell personal information.
Scans and patient information
Scans are checked and, if you ask, repaired in your browser before they are uploaded. The uploaded scans and the files produced from them are processed on GuideMia's design workstations by AlignerBot, or by GuideMia's design staff when you order human design. You are responsible for having your patient's consent to share their scans with ClearAligner.AI for this purpose. Please do not enter patient names or other direct identifiers in the patient reference or notes.
Service providers
The service uses these providers to run, each for its part:
- Clerk: accounts and sign-in.
- Stripe: payments and receipts.
- Backblaze: storage of scans, plans and design files.
- Cloudflare: hosting and delivery of the website.
- Amazon Web Services (SES): email notices.
- Google: sign-in, if you choose to sign in with Google.
The service's servers and database are part of the Cympha platform, which GuideMia uses to run ClearAligner.AI.
Cookies
The site uses the cookies needed to keep you signed in. It uses no advertising or analytics cookies.
How long it is kept
Account and case information is kept while your account exists, so that you can return to your cases and download their files. A draft case you delete is removed with its files. Payment records are kept for as long as accounting law requires.
Your rights
To access, export, correct or delete your information, or to close your account, email privacy@guidemia.com. We respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
