Terms of service

These terms apply to your use of ClearAligner.AI (clearaligner.ai), operated by GuideMia. By creating an account or ordering a round you agree to them.
The service
You upload a patient's upper and lower arch scans with the treatment options you choose. AlignerBot, GuideMia's automated design system, computes a treatment plan that you review in the browser. When you approve the plan and pay for the design, GuideMia produces the appliance design files for you to download. You can instead order human design, done by GuideMia's design staff. ClearAligner.AI delivers design files; it does not manufacture aligners or ship physical products.
Who can use it
Accounts are for licensed dental professionals and for people who order on behalf of one. The prescriber terms set out what you confirm when you submit a case.
Clinical responsibility
The prescribing dentist examines the patient, decides whether aligner treatment is suitable, reviews every plan before approving it, and remains responsible for the treatment. Plans and designs are produced from the scans and options you provide; check them before use. ClearAligner.AI does not diagnose patients or give treatment advice.
Cases the service does not plan
Mixed dentition and children; implants, bridges or crowns in the arch; cases that need surgery; open bite and deep bite. The case form asks about these and stops before payment when one applies.
Payment
You top up your account balance by card through Stripe, any amount from $20. Each round is paid from the balance when you order it, at the price shown on the pricing page and confirmed before you pay: a plan round (including each time you send a plan back for another review), the appliance design, or human design. Your account page lists every top-up and charge. If an automated run for a round you paid for fails, GuideMia runs it again at no charge or contacts you.
Your files
Your scans, plans and design files remain yours. You allow GuideMia to store and process them to provide the service to you.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us at privacy@guidemia.com if you think someone else has used your account. Do not upload files you have no right to share, or anything other than dental scans for the case.
Lab directory
Labs listing themselves agree to the directory terms. Dentists contact listed labs directly; ClearAligner.AI is not a party to any agreement between them.
Privacy
How information is handled is described in the privacy policy.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version is published on this page with a new date. Rounds already paid keep the terms in force when they were ordered.
